V for Vendetta star Natalie Portman says she got so carried away learning a London accent for the movie that she couldn’t stop using it once she was done.
The 24-year-old spent a about a month working with a dialect coach to get her voice just right for the role.
“I stayed in the accent all the time,” she said. “They told me that’s the best way to get the tune and rhythm. But then my mum said, ‘Really, Natalie, enough already. This is crazy’.”

Natalie Portman really wanted the role in “V is for Cendetta”. She wanted it so bad that Portman almost begged film bosses to cast her in ‘V for Vendetta’. Sh eknew it was a good role.
The actress was so desperate to be in the movie she flew across the US to audition to play
freedom fighter Evey. She said, “I literally begged for this part. I flew out to San Francisco and read for the role. And thank God I got it.
“I just think it’s so rare to find a movie that’s really entertaining and really fun on a big scale and on an impressive visual scale, that’s also really so interesting and is going to give you something to think about afterwards.”

Actress Natalie Portman was under an immense pressure to get the all important head-shaving scene right in the movie “V For Vendetta” because there was only one chance to film it… of course.
The scene shows Natalie Portman having her hair shaved off and was filmed in a single take, according to contactmusic.com.
“It was a one-shot deal, and that was the most stressful thing about the experience,” said Oscar-nominated Natalie Portman, 24.
Director James McTeigue said: “The first time I saw her [Natalie Portman] about the role, I had her put her hair behind her head because I wanted to see what she looked like bald.
“That was the only conversation we had about it. She knew the day was coming, I put three cameras on her, made sure the clippers weren’t stuck, and then we shaved her head.
“She loved it!” he claims.
